Once upon a time, beside a quiet village, there was a small beautiful forest. In that forest lived many animals and birds. Among them was a little bird named Tuni. Tuni had bright yellow feathers with a touch of red, and her tiny beak was bright red too. She was cheerful, playful, and loved to sing.
Every morning, Tuni would perch on a tree branch and sing sweet songs. All the animals and birds of the forest would listen to her melody and feel happy. In the middle of the forest, there was a small river where little fishes played, and nearby lived Rimi the bunny, Dimi the clever squirrel, and Kuti the slow but kind-hearted tortoise.
One day, a terrible storm struck the forest. The wind howled, trees shook, and big branches fell to the ground. All the animals ran here and there, looking for safe places to hide. Being small, Tuni quickly flew into a thick bush to protect herself.
When the storm finally stopped, Tuni came out and saw that her friend Rimi’s little burrow had been destroyed. Rimi sat beside the fallen tree and cried softly. Tuni flew down and asked,
“Why are you crying, Rimi?”
Rimi sniffled and replied, “My home is gone. Where will I stay now?”
Tuni chirped, “Don’t worry, we’ll build you a new home together!”
Hearing this, Dimi the squirrel, Kuti the tortoise, and other little birds gathered around. They picked up dry leaves, sticks, soft grass, and lianas. Together, they built a lovely new burrow for Rimi.
Rimi’s eyes sparkled with happiness. She said, “You are my true friends. I don’t know what I would do without you.”
From that day, the forest animals became even closer friends. They promised to always help one another in times of trouble and to share in each other’s joys. They played together, sang songs, and made sure no one ever felt alone.
One afternoon, a cunning fox entered the forest, hoping to catch some of the little fishes. Tuni quickly flew up, flapping her wings and making loud noises. Dimi shook the tree branches, and Kuti splashed in the water, creating waves. Hearing all the noise, the frightened fox ran away.
Afterward, everyone gathered for a big celebration with songs, dances, and games. From then on, they always faced challenges together, knowing that no matter how big the danger was, united they could overcome anything.
Moral: True friends are not just for playing but for standing beside each other in difficult times. Together, even the biggest problems become easy to solve.
